Together with Otome Yusha, the Japanese video game developer Level-5 created something genuinely special for singletons in 2019. The boyfriend speaker has two artificial arms that encircle your neck and are fastened to a pillow bearing a video game character's face.

Despite its intriguing built-in Bluetooth speakers, the bizarre idea was never intended to be mass produced and sold. Rather, the corporation gave them as a prize for a Twitter competition. The only boyfriend speaker ever created went to one very fortunate person.
