15. 1964 Ford Thunderbolt Fairlane

Price at launch: $3,900 Value currently: $197,400 A few of the great muscle cars from the 1960s and 1970s were built primarily for the marketplace, while others were designed to excel on the racetrack. And a fantastic illustration of a sleek design made specifically for NHRA drag racing competitions was the 1964 Ford Fairlane Thunderbolt.

One of Ford's rarest models, only 100 of these vehicles were ever made. The 49 cars that were made with four-speed manual transmissions, however, were even more uncommon. It comes as no surprise that these cars can sell for more than $200, given their extreme rarity.
