21. Camelot – $7 Million per Episode

Have you heard of Camelot? It's okay! You're not alone! Starz's adaptation of King Arthur's story lasted only one season despite being one of the most expensive shows on TV. In spite of this, the show earned impressive ratings and was even nominated for a Primetime Emmy Award. Starz was unable to continue Camelot due to a variety of reasons.
The first and most important reason is that Starz could no longer cover the costs. Although the ratings were excellent, the $7 million price tag per episode was simply too high. A significant portion of the budget went to Camelot's A-list cast, which included Joseph Fiennes, Jamie Campbell Bower, and Eva Green. Also, Starz cited the three stars' schedules as a reason not to continue Camelot.
