8. Friends – $10 Million per Episode
Aside from being one of the most successful sitcoms of all time, Friends was also one of the most expensive. With Friends' popularity growing so fast, the cast of the show didn't even want to do the show's final tenth season. NBC, however, was in a desperate situation. NBC wanted to keep Friends running until they found a replacement for the show because Friends was the most popular sitcom at its end. As a result, the cast simply demanded more money.
A million dollars per episode was earned by each of the six cast members by the end of Friend's final season. This resulted in an episode costing about $10 million. Even though the sitcom actually cost NBC money during its final season, merchandise and DVD sales eventually made up for it.
