Post-It Notes have been around for decades, but we've probably all been using them incorrectly. Typically, you pull off a Post-It note from the non-sticky side up. That's the simplest side to grab, so we frequently rip off a Post-It without thinking.

However, this leaves us with a bent sticky note that will easily slip off if it gets hooked on something. To avoid bending your Post-It notes, simply peel them from the side. Peeling off the sticky notes sideways keeps them from bending and leaves you with a straight note.
