16. 1970 Plymouth Superbird Hemi

Price at launch: $4,298 Value at the Moment: $150-$200 Have you ever wondered what a "superbird" car would look like? It's safe to say Plymouth hit the nail on the head with that one. The extravagant sports automobile, complete with a rear stabilizing wing, was as extravagant as they came. And that is precisely why they were unable to get enough of it.

The unusual variant, which was based on the Dodge Daytona, featured a 426 Hemi V8 engine that produced 425 HP and nearly 500 lb-ft of torque. Not your typical vehicle, huh? That's because its original goal as a race car was to rule NASCAR. And while Plymouth succeeded in doing just that, this also made it a sought-after collectible.
