40. Hemlock Grove – $4 Million per Episode

Few would have ever imagined creating a horror show just a few years ago. As a result, more and more viewers are flocking to scary shows, and every network wants to be a part of this trend. Hemlock Grove was Netflix's big foray into horror as it took on this wildly popular trend.
Hemlock Grove was not a big hit on streaming services. With a pilot directed by Eli Roth, the show's first season alone cost $45 million to produce. However, the money didn't pay off. The series was allowed to continue for two more seasons before Netflix ended it. The second and third seasons received nearly half the budget of the first season.
